Asthma is very common, so common that there is probably somebody that you know that suffers from it. If you do not understand what it fully is you do know what the symptoms are.

Asthma is a respiratory condition where the small airways in the lungs tighten up, and it makes a person having an attack difficult to breathe. The amount of time that this lasts for depends on how serious the condition is and how tight the airway axially is.

People of any age can suffer from asthma but it is common to first appear when they are a child. Some lucky asthma suffers happen to outgrow this conditionAlso there are some asthma suffers who will live with the condition for the rest of their lives.

People who have no other asthma suffers in their family can acquire asthma. It is a misunderstanding about asthma, that it is passed down from generation to generation.

Asthma symptoms usually are cough, wheezing, tightness in the chest, breath shortness, and a hard time to breathe. These are symptoms that can vary from person to person.

There are levels to an asthma attack also mild, moderate, and severe.

For somebody that had mild asthma they have attacks when they have an upper respiratory infection. Most other times they are completely fine and have no asthma symptoms at all.

Moderate asthma suffers will have symptoms from time to time. It could be worse in the early morning or late in the night, when they have a cold, or have a lot of stress in their lives. Albuterol inhalers can help to defeat this symptoms.

Asthma suffers that have severe asthma usually have asthma symptoms every single day. They find it hard to even talk to people at times, impossible to have any activity physically at all. They can also be admitted into the hospital many times a year due to their asthma.
